About 4 days ago I had 1 order form submit for a product I'm not really actively promoting. I also had 8 order form impressions, 8 hops. If someone submits an order form that has to be a sale, right? If so maybe the tracking just got messed up or something. The product I was promoting had no opt-ins, was on the front page (no funny business with it being on any inner page or something) and tracks my id when I check the bottom of the order form. So like it said before maybe it's just Clickbank messing up my tracking or something?

Also there's something else that made me worry when I was going through this Clickbank section of the forum. Someone claimed that if you mess up with clickbank even once that they won't ban or disable your account but will not give you any money or allow you to take it out. Since my sales are relatively new, less than 2 months, it's still labeled "CDR" on the sales tracking page. My point is that I also bought a product under my own hoplink and used a different ip, info to sign up. However, when I used my paypal account it showed the same e-mail and name on my account as my clickbank account, so they probably know that I tried to discount it for myself. If they caught me doing that could that be an explanation of why I didn't get any sales?

OH was I as typing I just thought, could another affiliate be stealing my sales? Although that doesn't really make sense because then I wouldn't have the information of the hops and order forms on the analyatics page. I'll go ask the vendor and clickbank what happened. In the mean time what do you guys think? Has this happened to you guys before and is it something I should worry about? (I really don't want anything to be wrong as I want to actively promote some cb products now that I got a handle of basic seo on longtail keywords I can rank for)

Thanks guys.

Relax - order form submits with no sales happens all the time. People type in wrong numbers, numbers of expired cards or even gibberish in the hope of seeing a transaction go through. Also, many order form submits means that the same person could be trying again and again.

Clickbank doesn't shave. As for buying a product under your own name, I have done it, it should be all right.

Oh. Guess I shoudn't have panicked so fast and thought about it more. I already sent tickets to CB and to the vendor, complaining about the order form submit and admitting I used the hoplink to get a discount, woops. Anyway thanks for your input man, it helped. Threads over so soon hehe.

Back in November I had like 45 order form submits and only 15 sales. Right now, only around 45% of my submits are resulting in sales... which is not good since I usually get 70-75% submits leading to sales.

Still, you've got to keep working. It's all part of the business.

Yeah that is real frustrating, but shit happens!
