Orange iCon Verify Email Address Request

I got a noticed again asking to verify my email address to help secure my account popup. This is not the usual email verification you see during mast botting. The popup is an orange exclamation mark next to your profile tab, 'Edit Your Profile' if you are viewing on an iPhone. I do not have an issue verifying my account, the problem is that the email isn't being sent to my inbox. I've tried several times to resent and looked in all my email client's boxes. I just don't think it's being sent.

Should I use a different email address? Retype in the same email address in case it is a glitch in their system? I've received this exact notice before during IG purge. I've never received the emails either. A few days after, the noticed disappeared. IG Support never answered my issue, so no sense in emailing them again.

This is happening to one of my accounts, too. I've tried retyping the email address, changed the email address, changed it back, changed my password. I got the email confirming my change of password, but not the email to "confirm the email." Hope it goes away without anything happening to the account. I don't see the benefit of Instagram having absolutely no support team. Who knew a company could have worse customer service than Comcast. :eek:
 
Glad I am not alone and not looney because no one knows what I am talking about. I got it fix by reconfirming every so often. The email final came through. I strongly believe it's a glitch in their system and YES, IG Support is crap.
 
I got the "orang icon verify email address too". Already got the confirmation link through email and already clicked that link and got Successful changed.

But unfortunately, the "orange icone" is still there. What is going on?

Just keep trying everyday. Eventually, it will accept your request and icon will dissapear. It's a glitch in their system.
