Many believe that the first 400 words of a webpage are crucial and should be optimized for maximum impact.

There are several reasons behind this claim. One key factor is that if the opening lines of the content are highly relevant, well-structured, and rich in depth and clarity, they can encourage Google to engage more deeply with the page, potentially improving its ranking and visibility.

What do you think? Does this align with your perspective?

I've heard this too, but I find it hard to believe. I'll still not dismiss it fully because it's google and they do all sorts of shenanigans, but I don't believe it yet :)

I do believe that you have to start explaining about the topic in the first few lines.. to grab the attention of the reader quickly who came to get solution for his query and satisfy the search intent. Consider making the content for a real human who will go away from a webpage if their queries remain unanswered during the initial read.
