    - Include your specific keyword in your website Title
    - Write description with include your main keywords which you want to rank and update it in your site. The option is meta description. You can search google on how to change meta description!
    - Add your keyword in your H1 tag.
    - Add image alt tag to your image.
    - Use keywords in our inner page links also.

Finally don't over keyword stuffing. You can use long tail and synonyms keywords to safe your site.

    Which platform do you use?

On Wordpress use "Wordpress SEO" plugin. Has all information needed to optimize your content for SEO purposes, and then some.

Another major problem I had in the beginning was that my keyword density was too high in my articles. Make sure you keep it low, around 2% I`d say.
