Does anyone know some tricks to bumping up a Google Map result?
Tips to increase your Google Maps listing:
-Have one unique article on your clients site for every keyword you want to rank for, have that article dedicated solely to that keyword, and perform all the basic on-page seo stuff for that keyword (title, h1 tags, keyword density, etc... you can use the Free version of Traffic Travis to check this)
-Create a lot of citations (use the exact same citation every time without variation)
-Create a lot of backlinks to the site using your keywords as anchor text (point them at the individual pages you created for each keyword)
-Get a lot of positive REALISTIC reviews on your Google Places profile
-Fill out the profile completely, using every piece of information possible, and filling up every image slots with images named as your keywords and every video slot with videos with your keywords as the title, description, and keywords (you can get high quality videos for free from Animoto)
-Buy a bunch of cheap .info Exact Match Domain Names for the keywords you want to rank for and redirect them to you the individual pages on your clients site, then submit them to the top social bookmarking sites to get them noticed by Google
-Get a PO Box in the center of the city and use that as your address (Google gives a boost to addresses that are closer to the city center)
-Make sure you have a phone number with an area code in the city of the business (you can get these real cheap from Twilio) and NEVER change the phone number or you will get the Google Places version of "sandboxed"
Hope those help
