Use plugins if you use wordpress.

Learn Perfmatters, here is a thread with some videos, and I shared latest Perfmatters here. Use it in combination with WP Rocket and you´re website will be much faster with a much better score.

- Be sure your site is hosted on a fast-responsive sever (a share hosting plan won´t cut it)
- Also, make sure your server is loading resources under an HTTP/2 protocol (HTTP/3 is best)
- Make sure your site is hosted on a server that is located as close as possible from your target audience
- Use a CDN
- Unless you´re running a local business, the usage of a CDN nowadays is almost mandatory
- Use a lightweight and fast-loading theme.
- GeneratePress, Astra, OceanWP, and Neve are some of the best on the market.
- Don´t overdo it with plugins!
- Stay away from these! - 75 Slow WordPress Plugins That Increase CPU Usage Or Add CSS/JS To The Frontend
- Stay away from page builders!
- Invest in a performance plugin!
- @RoiBox share a couple of links to Perfmatters which is what I use in conjunction with Litespeed (free plugin)
- Invest in an image optimization plugin
- There are a few good ones but my favorite is Shortpixel
- Also, heavily focus into optimizing images as per mobile devices best practices
- Go easy on third-party apps!
- Stuff like analytics, pixels, facebook messenger, marketing stuff, etc., have a huge impact on performance

You provided little information about your site. But most of the problems are concerning:
- Scripts.
- Images
- CDN, hosting, etc.
If you have WordPrees start removing plugins gradually and check loading speed, refuse the junk ones.
Use PSI (Page Speed Ins) tips. It says it all in black and white. In theory, you can do everything without a developer.
