Optimize pages question

Hi Guys,

I have setup my blog with 5 pages that are optimized for there individual keywords, what i am unsure of is what to optimize the main page for? the initial http://www.site.com shows parts of all the blogs then you click "read more"

so:

http://www.site.com <-- what to optimize for the main page?
http://www.site.com/keyword1
http://www.site.com/keyword2
http://www.site.com/keyword3
http://www.site.com/keyword4
http://www.site.com/keyword5

Or does it not really matter as i have optimized the 5 main pages?

ah i see so it's really only optional if you want to optimize for it.
