I'm using lightroom and there are so many options to include information on the photos. Any advice will be appreciated. What did you use to optimize media?

I use GIMP. It's free and can easily scale and resize images and canvas. Very quick to do, I can show you how. I then export it into my own resolutions. I try to keep all resolutions the same, especially for thumbnail. I also use Shortpixel which compresses all images automatically. I use their plugin "ShortPixel Image Optimizer". GIMP can also do a lot of other cool things as well.

compress image with many tools and resize use the actual pixel Is most important so always use lesser size image on your website

Cloudflare optimizes images nowadays. I just make them the right size, let CF do the rest.

Resize your images. Image size and file size are not the same thing.
Choosing the right file name is important for your page SEO and for ranking in image search results. Before uploading any image, name the file with relevant, descriptive keywords to get the most SEO power.

I usually do this:
Banner images in 720x1280
Blog post images aprox 650 x 650 (+-)
Compress (in PhotoShop) to ~25-40kb
Upload direct to site, using a plugin for WebP conversion
Use Cloudflare free CDN (content delivery network) or Litespeed for caching & delivering images/pages
Ensure Lazy Loading is enabled somewhere (so image doesn't need to load until it's in viewport)
If you're having problems in Lightroom with oversized images, try to use reduce noise FX to help with compression. I use ~4-6/10 on the noise reduction scale, depending on the image.

To optimize media, I would use tools like SurferSEO.
Look at the keywords that they show, and I will prioritize these keywords.
Prioritization is not only numerical, so don't just go by the numbers of preferred repetitions.
Instead, focus on how thematically close the target keyword is to your main target.
Of course, if you're out-tagging your photos, make sure that those photos are relevant in the first place.
For example, if you're in a section that talks about hamsters, don't put a picture of a cat.
That doesn't make any sense.
So make sure that the right photo is tagged the right way and is in the right section.
Remember that Google is advancing so quickly, and it's able to pick out the context in your content.

Nobody mentioned EXIF data. Some photography sites and photo-aggregator sites are listing EXIF properties of the image (lens, the aperture, make & model, shutter speed, geo location etc) . Some of properties can be set as title and link, so if your photo is distributed or stolen on some of those sites you could benefit from free links.
