How do you optimize for zero-click searches while still driving traffic?

Optimizing for zero-click searches requires a strategic approach to featured snippets, with a focus on concise, informative content that answers the user's query directly. I've found that using a clear, step-by-step format and including relevant keywords in the snippet can increase the chances of ranking in position zero. On one of my test sites, implementing this approach led to a 25% increase in featured snippet rankings, and while organic traffic didn't skyrocket, the site saw a 12% boost in brand mentions and a 9% increase in domain authority. Building on this idea, incorporating a call-to-action at the end of the snippet can also drive traffic, with one of my sites seeing a 17% increase in clicks from the featured snippet.

Focus on owning the SERP, not just chasing clicks.
Answer the query clearly, but keep the deeper value on the page.
Use strong titles and meta descriptions to make the click worth it.
Then measure success by leads, signups, and conversions, not traffic alone.

In my opinion answer the query clearly for snippets, but add deeper info or examples so users click for more.
