Hi guys :)

I started a blog many a time ago and I'm trying to get on the first page of google and using every trick I can SEO wise.

However I've neglected focus on optimising anchor text from the off and so I have many posts with the same anchor text.

Should I go back into these posts and make sure the anchor text is unique or will Google penalise me for doing this?

Thanks in advance for your help guys :)

You can dilute your exact anchors by building more links, get more posts with different anchors including bare urls and brands.

For me I keep KW 20% and below... If you can change it - do so and dilute as stated above... also make sure to incl. nested pages and not all going to home page.

I would not edit those anchors, better dilute them by building more links with raw url and generic anchors.

Definitely. Also try to establish some relevancy when building these new links, place them on quality sites closely related to your industry/niche.

There's no need to worry as long as they are internal links. As far as I know, Google doesn't penalise for using exact match anchor text in internal links.
