I am not sure this is in the right place even, but I want to know what sort of dedicated server setups the big boys are using.

RDP
Windows Box

What specs are optimal for the server?

I obviously want to log in, set my stuff up, start it, and walk away like I'm doing with some of my other set ups. I understand that it's a memory hog, but surely it can't be as bad as Xrumer is on memory etc.

Can someone post some guidance?

Thanks

ScrapeBox is pretty low-impact when it comes to resource and memory usage. I wouldn't call it a memory-hog at all. In fact, it's one of the more efficient apps out there. It's only in slow commenter mode that it ties up your machine, and that's a focus issue, not a memory or resource issue.

Cool thanks man.

What would you think a good dedicated setup specs would be?

I'm thinking something like

Intel C2D E8400 3.00Ghz
8 GB Ram
500 GB HD
2,000 GB Bandwidth
100 MB Line

WOuld be far more than enough?

Russian Hosting is also called as Offshore ?

Russian Hosting is also called as Offshore ?

lol yes you could call it that, basically anything offshore is in a country that you are not in and also a country that has a lot more lax restrictions on what is allowed to be hosted

trophaeum,

Which of the offers on Russian Hosting site would you recommend to run Scrapebox?
Thanks in advance.

talk to minad on icq and ask him what options you have, he's extremely helpful, just give him the rough specs you need and he'll give you your options

scrapebox doesn't use much resource, I run it on my computer with 10 browsers opened without any issues, yes slow comments can make it hang sometimes.
