Oprah Niche Method

So a few of my local blackhat friends meet at a pub, have a few drinks, and discuss and this is what we came up with about a month ago and it is working pretty well with coming up with profitable niches.

Step 1:
Watch Oprah

Step 2:
Take notes on everything she says she loves or acts excited about.
Take notes on topics of upcoming episodes.
Take notes on previous episodes.

Step 3:
Boil down your notes to specific topics and pick a couple.

Step 4:
Start your keyword research and get some keywords.

Done!

Now just pick your favorite ways to monetize your niche.

haha...no catch...just a niche finding method.

It's just one of the easier ways to think of a niche. Especially if you are new to IM and keep thinking of excuses for why not to do things.

The best way is a time machine. Go forward choose your niche, come back and write about it, there will be nothing like what you have written on the whole of the internet. My time machine is weed.

There has been 1739 Valentines Day's and the Internet has been around for 52 years or somewhere around 18980 days. I think this area may not be a niche anymore

Yap when Oprah recommends a products ,the sales go crazy ,like Acai Berry ,the amazon reader thing (forgot the name) and many more .You can also check her website for updates if you don't want to watch the show .

People, you really should be taking this seriously.

Paying attention to opinion makers is one great way to be in the right place at the right time when it comes to profiting from existing or upcoming trends.

BTW, Oprah is not the only one out there, even though she's the most important by far. Good thing with her is that she has a huge followship of devoted fans, and her interests are widespread.

Besides watching her show on tv, you can go to her site and check upcoming episodes or whatever there. There are even forums for her fans, recommended products, etc. You can even go as far as going to the page where a coming episode is displayed, view the source code and check its tags. If there's a secret subject or product that's about to be dealt with by Oprah during the week, you can find about it beforehand this way.

Nice idea, too bad you have to watch Oprah to get it to work, I'd rather be eaten by sharks. Not threadcrapping though, good idea if you can stomach it =)

thanks, i will try to keep a watch on her schedule as far in advance as possible. even request certain shows she might want to have on.

This method was discussed in another forum by Justin Brooke. What you are doing is going to Oprah's website (or any other t.v show that the masses watch) look at clips from upcoming episodes or go to youtube and look at clips from recent episodes. Find out if she pitches a product. If she does choose a keyword referencing that product and dominate it using Google loved sites.( Weebly, Squidoo, Hubpages, etc.) Just take acai berry and "The Secret" for example. This method is White Hat current event marketing. It does work just time consuming and I am not a fan of T.V shows. I kinda have a life.

Also, this can be done with almost anything from product commercials to the local news.

just messing you with you bud, good advice... you always got to be on the look out for for niches no matter where it is or from what source it can come from!

my missus will be talking girl talk and ill be like hang on a sec what was that thing you where talking about, and she be like oh yeah this new thing, and all the girls are going nuts for it... and im like mmmmm 20 mins later ill be putting a site/blog together! LOL

Yeah actually a great way to find hot & fad products. You often see these type of products on Today show etc etc. Just get in fast before they get saturated. Thanx often the simplest and most obvious things are overlooked

Yes I heard of this method from someone whose list I'm on. I believe he made around $10k from a product pitched there just writing about it on a blog. I found out what it was too.
