There are many options where you can Stake and unstake for very little gas. Check out Binance Smart Chain and staking cake.

Make sure to read the staking time limits. Some have staking expiration, and if the market tanks, your coin values also tank. If you're in it for the long haul, then yes stake. But with the market being as shakey and volatile, I'd like the luxury of being able to convert to usdt when I feel for own peace of mind

to be honest, i wait until the vampire is asleep.
its hard to determine the exact right time but once the sun sets, theyre stuck in the shadows, but it doesnt mean theyre asleep. i normally wait until 1-2pm which seems to be the prime time that theyre mid-asleep, allowing them to get a good 8 hours sleep. Be cautious though, some countries have daylight savings and change their clock hours so you'd be looking at roughly 12-1pm, but still, best time to shove a stake through them.
or are we talking about a different stake?
if so, i prefer medium well, about 3 minutes per side, but depends how thick it is. if the steak is over 3 inches, then add 1 minute to each side.
thats just my opinion, but im sure others have better stake options

I stake Tezos, Ada and Cro. And i earn interest on Stellar on a site.
As someone who doesnt plan on cashing out for 3-5 years, staking and earning interest is awesome.
Getting an average of 5% per year is a sweet deal if you ask me. Find a bank that will give you that.

90% of the coins will be abandoned after this bull run is over. Just look at how many ICOs are still going since the 2017 hype. I'd be very careful locking in money for 1+ years
