Creating an adult forum these days can be pretty challenging. If I recall, @Billy Batts ran an adult forum but it didn't succeed for a long time.
Maybe he can shed some light here.

Most people moved on to social media platforms. You can find people running private groups in telegram and discord. With a heavy censorship and suppression of small sites, people are moving away from Google. It's difficult to create and grow a forum in such a situation. It's better to start and grow and telegram channel and then redirect your visitors to forum for better reach. However, you can still start a forum if you have a unique method to drive users to your forum.

I am not sure how profitable it would be as a forum as most group discussions are happening on social media these days.
