Hi, I'm thinking of activating comments on my website, and I'm not convinced by the default format of WordPress and Akismet. I found the wpDiscuz plugin, and it seems that the FREE version would be more than enough for my site. I still have some questions, and it is directed to those who use it.
This is the plugin: https://wpdiscuz.com/demo/

1- Do comments harm the site's SEO?
2- Is this plugin too heavy? I mean if it slows down the website.
3- Do comments take up a lot of space on the server?

Thank you.

Comments can boost SEO if they add relevant content, but avoid low-quality or spammy comments. plugin can impact site speed so test speed before and after installing to assess its effect and generally, comments don't take up much space

Not bad that plugin, not too heavy.
Comments are irrelevant to SEO, just keep thinks in the right context and avoid those comments with links (or set an rel=ugc tag)
Comments are content like your posts, so the more content the more space you need.
If you really think that comments will generate healthy conversations with your readers, then it could be a great idea to activate them, otherwise, comments are generally a plague of bots that take a ton of time on moderation for barely no added quality.

It's decent. I have used it last year and it is pretty competitive to disqus but lightweight than it.

The impact of plugin on your website depends on how it's been coded and how it's been used

After a few weeks with wpDiscuz I discovered that using the "bubble" raises too much the INP of the site. Actually I deactivated the "bubble" so that the metrics are not so bad.
