Thesis is a good theme because :

1) It is highly customizable.
2) Very much suited for SEO because it lets the search engine bots to freely follow the links all around the site and has pre-setup nofollow and ******** tags (which is very important).
3) The coding of thesis is very simple and search engine friendly. So, you get no negative penalties for the coding from google.

Highly Customizable.. its a DIY theme and you can make it look whatever the way you want.
