Last year I ready quite a few threads on PBNs, I wasn't looking to build a big network and instead ended up buying a few clean domains and building a couple of sites to monetize. In other words, I was interested in the subject but didn't have the time to upkeep a really good network.

However, this year, I'm coming up on a summer with a little more leeway in how I spend my time so I think I want to actually try building a small network. There were two main ideas that had some people at odds with their opinion.

    1. Blocking crawlers. Those that were for it like to keep them completely private, away from the prying eyes of competitors. And then there were some that thought it was just asking for a slap from Google should there be a review. I tend to agree with the latter.

    2. This is my main interest right now. I seem to remember some people being for and against scraping content from Wayback.

Yeah, I got a little free time on my hands, but why not work smarter instead of harder? I put an exhaustive amount of time into creating content for my money site as it is, it would be harder to build convincing 5 or 6 PBN sites within the same niche if I'm already mentally spent on my money site.

Yeah I know I can hire a writer, but to me, it looks more legit to have that pre-built content written in a natural tone. The domains I buy are clean and were once upon a time, a legit site. Why not take advantage?

And on that note, has anybody ever had someone contact them about repurposing their old site? (An angry individual who forgot to or couldn't pay their bill, losing their site only to see you propping it right back up as a front.)

I'm interested to know what PBN builders think.

I'm going to be using these sites for my own use only, completely relevant topics (which is why I'm not so worried about blocking robots)

Rebuilding sites this way is certainly a great way to make your PBN look very natural and have a lot of variety. Two major disadvantages:

    - If you want to keep the URL structure and design, it requires a lot of effort and often can't be done with your favourite CMS.
    - Copyright for the content doesn't expire when a site is deleted or a domain expires.

As far as angry individuals are concerned: It happens, no matter if you use the same content or new content. From heartwarming stories to angry legal threats, C&D to your host and/or registrar if you have really bad luck. How often? Maybe once in 200 domains. Just make sure to avoid domains asking for trouble, if you repurpose the former domain of some religious conference and link it to your "drunk babes with huge boobs" moneysite, don't expect the former owner to be amused.

Our golden rule, no matter what moneysite(s) we want to use the PBN for: no politics, no religion, no children, no sites of individuals, no other highly emotional topics.

    LOL, I imagine.

Yeah, this one turned me off of buying for one seller here (don't remember who, not important) tried to give me the domain of someone's name, but what's worse is it had the middle name too. The seller tried to tell me "no, it's okay we do it all the time." I looked up the guy who's old domain it was and he was an active musician online, and I was like "no thanks dude." That's just asking for it as you said.

Yeah, this is what concerns me I guess. If I put fresh content, I really wouldn't care what the old owner has to say to me. But if I'm straight up jacking the old content I would have to be conscious of potential repercussions. So probably best to stay away from anything highly personal.

The problem is, some of the sites that look good in one of my niches, are written as personal reviews from collectors. The content is top notch, but I guess risky.

It easy , you download the whole website ,you then use a powerfull
Spun like wordai and re add the article spun.

If there images or video just replace with others from anywhere free ..

or take the images and video away .

    That simple....

IT's just depending on your Goal. PBN is built for your main site ie., money site. It's worth if it can help your money site generating more income. Otherwise, PBN won't worth it. Expired domain money site is a good idea though.
