Opening thread to random post

I've had this happen a lot in the past but I have never paid much attention to it.

The way I read threads on BHW is scroll down the homepage until I see something that I want to read and then I press my scroll wheel, so as to open it in a new tab.

This is great because I can have multiple threads open that I can switch between but the only issue is what post they open to. Most of the time it opens the thread to the first post, sometimes it opens it to the last post (The redirect link has /unread or something on the end), but the main issue is when it opens it to a random post, often halfway down the thread.

I'm not sure why this happens, but maybe it is something do do with it putting the wrong post # on the end, or maybe it is just me.

Has anyone else experienced this?

If you click on the title, it's going to jump you to the "most recent post" for you, meaning you've viewed the thread before and have seen all the posts prior to the one it's sending you to.

Or at least that's what it SHOULD be doing.

Maybe that's what it does then, It's just weird when there is a thread with 7 pages that I have not read and I get pushed to a post on the fourth page
