Opening LLC

Legal zoom really isn't necessary for simply registering an LLC with the state you're in. Most states now have a small business portal which allows you to easily form a business. It should be pretty straight forward. If you need any further guidance generally has solid steps to take. If you let me know what state you're in I can give you direct links to where to go to register your LLC.

An llc must be registered in a state. Each state has their own rules but for the most part the process is uniform. I do believe you need to be an American Citizen in order to open an llc if that applies to you. The process is simple and takes 15-60 min depending on you. Just google "how to start an llc"

If you are not a United States Citizen then you can open a "C" corporation which is allowed to be owned by non united states citizens.

"S" class would be best for an online business selling services imho.
