Opening a media company

It was always a dream of mine to open up a media company that specializes in web design and SEO similar to this company https://ebmediasolutions.com/

I'm competent at web design and SEO I've done free lance work locally and on freelance websites but I want to take it to the next level and actually start a company but with that being said I was never really good at the business side of things like how to start a company and all the work that goes into it (business model, promoting the business, acquiring clients outside of free lance websites)

If anyone has some literature/resource they can share on this website that I can read that would be helpful, if I can get pointed in the right direction that would be appreciated.

You could upgrade and sell your services here to wrap your head over things that could be improved. You'll get tonnes of feedbacks & later on expand to a wider horizon

Accounting and contracts are a must and everything else can be put together on the fly. Mess up accounting and your taxes owed will kill you, don’t have contracts and you will be eaten alive by the people looking for tons of work at unfair opportunities. hmm there are alot of sellers of the same service on here, I was hoping to learn how to properly or at least be armed with the proper knowledge before starting locally here where I live

contracts got it, how would you go about drafting one? is there a resource i can read somewhere or do I hire someone to do this?

I live in canada and I appreciate this advice I always find it tough to get info related to business here

look around the internet to save money, put it together so it’s all in order and then have a lawyer look at it to make sure they close the loop holes. I found this the cheapest and most accurate. Most lawyers will charge you to draft it leave out most of the good stuff and charge you for revisions. Remember they are not in our industry so you need to show them how you want it and then they will polish it.
