OpenGraph and websites treated as FB Pages

Now you can have a virtual FB Page associated to your website. We've made some tests and once the code is added, a new page appears on your admin (but there is no public page, it's your website) and the treatment is the same, you can send updates and the updates you do on your wall appear on users streams.

Any ideas or opportunities?

I've been playing around with it, too. When someone clicks "Like" on your website page, it does show up on their fb feed. But, is there a way to incorporate the "Invite" Friends, 3 step code onto your own site? This is definitely a breakthrough, but I'm trying to figure out how to make a page go viral without the "invite friends" hook.

aximum i've already posted a basic method a few days ago, if you did a search on open graph api you would have discovered it. The funny thing is I got zero thanks even though i was the first person on any internet marketing forum with a method.

I've been hitting it hard since Wednesday, this open graph changes every thing. The traffic is insane without having to be aggressive. I tried a "like button" bomb and it drop a 8core 8g memory server to its knees in 4hrs with no other sites on it. FB is going to be bigger then google in so many ways.

Before you all start getting excited, for 95% of you on this forum, at this stage this opportunity is actually too big for you to actually exploit. Its a whole new game running high traffic sites that get hit with exponential traffic surges. You have seen the growth a viral fanpage can get thats hosted on FB datacenters, well your wordpress blog on a shitty shared server is going to die in 5 mins. A WP blog on a good server is going to die in an hr. You have to have bug free code been cached from APC, etc otherwise the traffic is so much its like getting DDoSed

If your serious about this i would recommend using datacenters like softlayer who can add additional servers 24/7 within 2 hrs to what ever load balanced/cluster setup your running.

The social engineering possible with the social graph api can get you some crazy conversion figures

On one site I've been making them be my fan before they get the privilege of seeing my inspire email submit form that they have to double optin before they get the download. This creates expotential growth because all their friends see that they "like" it, and i'm naming the site with a real "cosmo" type of tease headline to suck more friends into the feed back loop.

Beside the email submit i've blown the submit conversions thru the roof by having a panel of "friends" profile pics as "social proof". They see that all these people "like" it & like sheep to the slaughter they follow suit

so this won't work with VPS only dedi? damn I better take my like button off my wordpress site. too bad I was looking forward to testing it out and getting some nice traffic. I mean, I built a nice page, everything is set, I only need to start driving some likes so it will get rolling and maybe viral finally... how do you start? is there some way with FW that I'm not aware of to start advertise this?

I have a lot of accounts but really lost on how to start this .. any tip?
