Open Registration Links -Anybody using them?

I did a quick search and couldn't find anything here.

If you don't know what they are..some CMS's have an "open registration" rule that allows random people to register on their site and post an article with anchor text. It won;t let me post a link..but search "powered by drupal" payday loans" and you will see what I mean.

How is this any different than normal contexual stuff?

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking 'how do the links vary from other contextual links', or...?
