actually i have never had this happen before. i think you should try logging in on an old device that you usually use or try pressing forgot password to see if it works.

I’ve seen this issue before. When Meta can’t verify the login, they require you to sign in again from a device you’ve successfully used in the past. If you approve the login from that older device, the new device will usually work afterward. If you no longer have the old device, you can contact support to restore it, but this can take a while.

This prompt appears when Facebook needs confirmation that the login is really coming from you. If the system can’t match the device or location with your previous activity, it only allows access from a device you’ve successfully logged in with before.
