I am considering building a site that is heavy laden with duplicate content, in order to try a best capture different keywords.

Does anyone have any experience with onsite duplicate content and duplicate content penalties? Are they permanent penalties? Are they certain to come? Can I get away with my strategy?

I appreciate the help. PM's are welcome

google loves duplicate content

Not if it's on your own domain.

Having duplicate content within your own domain is not good. You will most likely be penalized if you do this.

:p lol, the post title is tempting :)

But seriously, op, rethink your strategy a little, there is no need for dup (self) content, if you have problems getting content, let me know, there are so many ways. Nobody can tell you for sure how exactly dup content affects ranking, but I also strongly assume that you should not have self dup content on your own page.

If you do not want do scrape appropriate content you might want to consider markov content with keyword injection and possibly cloaking (if so, then it should be ip-based).

You won't have any problems with getting content from other sites and putting it on your site. But Google will penalize you for showing duplicate content on your own site. Wouldn't do it.

Yes@all,

thanks for the comments.
To clarify this was about duplicating your own content across many pages on the same domain.

Just create a random white space generate for your pages. This can give you enough of a difference that makes the duplicate content problem no longer an issue.
