Does anyone know if Russian models are being permanently banned from the platform or if their accounts are just inactive until they switch payment methods?

Onlyfans has banned Russian and Belarus models. Who knows how long it will last. Not that they can accept the money anyway.

They can't accept money via bank transfer if the bank account they have is from a bank that is being cut off from SWIFT. They would either need to get a new bank account at another bank, or the platform would have to allow payment in some kind of crypto payout. If OF is doing it just out of spite to personally attack some of its creators they really need to be replaced by an alternative that isn't going to throw morals/wokeness into an addictive industry.
They can receive money if they aren't personally sanctioned, also even if someone is sanctioned there are other ways of bypassing the regular financial system.

Onlyfans has to follow the law of the host country they are in. UK in this case. Even if they wanted to pay in crypto, they would get ass rekt by the government. For the UK, I believe that would be 10 (might be 7) years in jail for breaking trade sanctions. It is what it is, People that have nothing to do with it getting caught in the middle of the bs :\

The people of Russia were not sanctioned, only certain Russian banks were sanctioned and blocked from using SWIFT. They could be paid if they use a non sanctioned Russian bank or one of the foreign banks operating in Russia such as Unicredit Bank from Italy.

It must be just getting the models to change their payment settings, I went back to one of the models that previously had account set to inactive and its now active again.

It's not just Russian models. It's some of the Ukranians too. Almost 2M Ukranian live in Russia.

It is restricted. Consumption is allowed, production is not.
