Yes, the fact that the links are free does not mean that they are not able to do that.

You could get a link from forbes because they linked to you. That's a free but insanely powerful backlink. It takes more work but you can easily obtain strong backlinks if you put the time and effort into it.

for sure with low or medium you will be on best positions may be paid or free does't mattr
