Only ranking in yahoo any suggestions?

I know my site is new (launched about 5 days ago) and most of you will probably say keep building backlinks and be patient, but I want to be proactive on this.

I am ranking on yahoo for a whole rack load of keywords and even have the #1 spot for the exact keyword I am trying to rank on google, but I am not even in the top 25 pages on google for this keyword.

Is there something I did to get on yahoo's radar instead of google?

What does google like that I am not doing properly?

Focus on building high PR links. Google loves those.

Like you said, it's only 5 days old. Give it some time and it will probs shoot up in the rankings.

To be honest, I am surprised that you tanked in Yahoo so fast.... Just keep building links. Sometimes you rank quickly and sometimes it takes a week for google to index you. You also have to remember that there are a lot of SERP changes going on in Goolge lately so it may take longer to see where you stand.

I was indexed the first day in google, but I am just not showing up in search results top 25 pages

You are fortunate to be on the first page of Yahoo for your keyword, enjoy it while it last. I can almost assure you that within a few days you are going to lose that ranking, it natural to rank on the 1st page of yahoo after creating a site and losing it quickly. You will only be able to go back on top of you build more quality links.

Don't worry about the big G if you have your site properly optimized, the system can not be cheated. You just have to work your way to the top.

Yep, just echoing everybody's words about being patient.

However, if you want to "cheat" the system...try creating youtube videos or blogger pages with your keywords. Google tends to <3 itself and it's own websites

Plus, if you do it well...try using Yahoo Answers as a way to get your questions posted on the first page of Google. Just be smart that's all.
