Anyone else play poker online?

Feel free to mention what site, what stakes, how long you've been playing, etc.

Personally, I think that playing poker while doing my work provides a nice income boost.
 
I used to like playing on Facebook, but when I have played a few times for money, it is not the same. People tend to gamble, and it just makes the game very boring.

I find that when I play for money the players tend to be more serious, at least in higher stakes and MTT's. When I did play for fake chips like on Zynga or with play money most of the people just ended up throwing away their fake chips by playing like Donk's.

That's why when you play with real money you do bet sizing: value bets, probe bets, continuation bets, etc..

As a beginner is better to play playmoney than real money. Of course, it makes people more serious to play if it's game money.
But I think playmoney is also good for practicing for those who doesn't experience yet.

IMO real money sites for low to mid stakes are unprofitable due to bots.

I playes for a living for almost 3 years and pulled decent cash out during that time. You can grind low limit online game for couple bucks an hour playing with 3, 4 bots every game but B&m mid limit games are just so much more profitable with lower variance that I would bet that there are much higher % of winning players there than online.

Same as what I found. The game got real boring. To the point I just started throwing in, and got took. Could not be bothered playing games for a couple of dollars, so just threw in again and again after a few hours. Only put about $200 in many years ago
 
The game is boring, when you have no profit. I have a friend, who earning money by playing poker. He reads poker news, articles and books, analyzes a lot of statistics. He likes it!
