Online ebook, not downloadable

I want people to read my ebooks, but I don't want them to download the ebooks, I rather have them read them online. For example, instead of paying for a Ebook, they would be paying for a annual membership fee with access to a so called online library in my site where they could preview the pdf files with their computer or tablet

The membership area is not a big problem but the only being able to show the .pdf on my site i don't really know how, also, I want the URL of the pdf file to be protected so only members can view them.
Any ssuggestions please?

You can protect with such kind of "no right click" js script.

Yes but, instead of them downloading the ebook, I want them to be able to view the ebook in my members only section on the website.

How can I get the ebook on a html page?

Not sure you'll find a way, every way I know of to view a PDF/Ebook has a way to download it, even if you embed into an html it's easy enough for people to download it still.

If you have script-protected content, it still must display on screen to be read. There's no stopping someone with a screen capture program from saving the screenshots. It might be easier to sell info as physical books published from a fulfillment house, or use the membership format to sell exclusive services.

Okay well, what i want is, when someone gets the pdf file url in my members section, and they send the link to someone else, I want that other person to arrive on a "Login page" where he or she can login or create an account, instead of viewing the .pdf

Just upload them to like a wordpress and lock them with no right clicks.
I have done before and good system.

What about CTRL+A, CTRL+C, etc? For the tablets, have you considered making an app for the iPad?

There are applications that will turn your PDF file into a Flip Book
and saves it as a Flash (SWF) file.
