    Hello,

I am designing a product for clickbank and am trying to decide if I should go with a one time charge or recurring billing.

While researching, I noticed that a lot of clickbank products say they are recurring on the marketplace, but when I go to the landing page, I don't see anywhere that they are recurring. Clickbank makes it clear that you need to make it obvious if it is a recurring charge that will be charged. Does anyone know what is going on?

All I see nowadays is a download link with a 60 money back guarantee and a payment link that goes to clickbank.

Thanks! That's probably it. How do the upsells work? Any example without having to sign up for a trial?

You have to actually make a separate payment for the upsell.

If they don't mention the recurring billing on their page, they'll probably get taken down soon.

Yeah that's exactly what those are.
That's the problem I have run into promoting some CB products. When they have upsells that are rebills, but the buyer thinks they're "add-ons".
So they pay for the original product, buy an add-on that they think is a one time fee.
A couple weeks to a month later they see a recurring charge on their credit card statement, and get a refund.
Most of the time I feel like these people would never have asked for a refund if they wouldn't have been rebilled.

From your experience, do you think that upsells and rebills are important? I can make my product a one time charge or turn it into a rebill. Will I get a lot more affiliates to promote my product if its a rebill?

What are you planning to sell? If a good product/salespage with one time fee vs a good product/salespage with rebill, of course affiliates will choose the latter. Vendors use rebilling if they have quality products, they add value on set period, they want to increase convertion by giving a trial option and rebill later, they want to attract affiliates, they want to trick customer 'coz some of them don't know how to refund, and many more factors..

I do think that upsells and rebills attract affiliates. Especially if your product coverts well.
When those promoting your product see the potential for greater earnings, it motivates them to grow their promotion methods.
I would simply suggest making the rebill process clear to the buyer, to reduce the amount of refunds due to buyers being taken by surprise.
If your product has a high refund rate, affiliates won't stick around long.
