I was dicking around today researching this project idea I've got and was searching domain names and found one I'd really like and the price was at $1000. For shits and giggles I tried to find who owned it etc. and found it on sedo with a minimum offer of $200. Domain has pretty much no history since 2007. Not blacklisted, gets about 50 uv/mo. It's not a nonsense word at all put kind of a play on a normal word, but not like flickr, it kinda spells out right, actually pretty cute and I'd say very brandable. I tried to haggle on buydomains in chat and the operator was going on about how cheap the domain was for a one letter and I know they are trained to say that shit but I have spent a good amount of time in my life searching domains and I think it's pretty damned cheap too. I'm not exactly broke but I was shopping for a regular domain name and not really ready to shell out $200 but if I can get it for that do you think I should? I searched similar domains and shittier spelled, longer versions of it are going for 20x that. I dunno. Hard to tell when I can't just say what it is but maybe someone knows what I mean lol... any thoughts?
