One simple question about link building

If I build links to homepage may other pages on my website benefit from it?
The reason I asking this is because friend of mine said that google treats every page separately and it won't have effect on other pages, but somehow I'm sure that I read here on forum that other pages might benefit.

My point of view is if visitor come from backlink to homepage and opens page on website related to anchors, that page gets link juice. I'm I right?

depends how far they are from homepage. but yeah links to homepage are very important.
 
With correct interlinking, it almost doesn't matter where you point the backlinks. 60 - 70% of links should point to homepage. Your entire site benefits. People are too close minded and can't grasp the simple concept of how link juice works apparently, because this questions is being asked here every couple days.
 
Yes, any links built to the home page, the link juice would flow from the home page of your site, to the internal links contained on the home page - so any sub pages linked through the home page would benefit from this.
Since the links are mainly pointed to the home page, it would also benefit if you can do some other links to your other internal pages, so that your link profile will look somewhat natural after that.
 
Yes, your whole site will benefit from it. Links on the homepage is very important. This will help you in your ranking and with your domain page authority. Get to know SEO Siloing and interlinking and you can gain from it.

If you point link to homepage than whole site's pages/post get benefit of that link & if you point link to inner page than only page/post get benefit of that link

Am I right in thinking. If I create internal links to my homepage. The create backlinks to that home page?
 
If you build backlinks to your domain (homepage) and do proper interlinking, your subpages will benefit from it, but not as much as if your subpages got some good links directly, too. Best is to mix it up. If you have a lot of subpages you want to rank then it's hard to do link building to each one of them so it's wise to boost the domain
 
Yes optimizing you home page will surely help you inner pages also (not all pages).

While creating back links, you can use 55% - 60% Naked URLs/Branded Names and Rest 40-45% LSI (8-10 Types of LSI).
 
Yes, it definitely benefit the inner pages of website, creating the links on the home page helps to increase the DA of your website.
 
Yes interlinking is very important. I have had a site for 10 months or so that hasn't been ranking well. I recently redesigned the home page and paid very close attention to interlinking and the traffic doubled immediately. The site went from getting 40 - 50 visitors to over 100 per day and is steadily increasing.
 
The internal linking structure of the website is very important for search engines and how well pages are linked together (with respect to usability, keyword relevancy and with relevant anchor text and thus provide a lot of link juice).
