One page websites doing well

Noticing one page websites doing well,especially ones with no menu but links to other pages in the footer.It could be they are easier to read,I have no idea but they appear to be doing better than heavier sites.
Maybe because the page will contain more information than a site with several pages that concentration of information is good for seo.

I'm looking to try one out s I am photoshoping one,I see people offering photoshop to a valid html\css site for $5 on fiverr is it really that easy to code them?

I can edit html,some css but from scratch,not happening lol

You can try fiverr offers and share the results here.
But 5$ for quality css/html - it's quite small amount.

I've seen quite a few one pagers ranking on page one as well.

My guess is the lack of optimization, is the cause of them ranking well. They typically have a diverse natural backlinks AND unoptimized landing pages (for the most part).

The key with Penguin is to deoptimize and have "just enough" optimization than trying to optimize everything perfectly.
