I have not made a one page site since about february, and from my own experience the sandboxing effect or whatever other animal has followed happened in about march.

Is there any reason to suggest that one page sites would be harder to rank than they were in february 2014? -- disregarding the sandboxing time delay that applies to almost all site homepages.

The sandboxing delay as you call it affects all the pages of new domains, not just homepages. Also, the waiting period also affects all types of sites, not just one-page sites. Therefore, I believe you can still rank any site as long as you are patient enough and don't go overboard with your link building.

Yea I am aware about that. The sandboxing tends to target homepages more so though than inner pages/posts though. And since its an MNS site the homepage is "the page", so I knew people would weigh that in as an issue.

Basically I am just wondering if in the past 4 months there have been or anyone has noticed any attempts by google to give less weight or place more importance on page quantity or word count -- site wide -- in comparison to what it was prior to feb. Or any thing else that may somehow effect MNS sites more so.

I dont keep up with updates at all and barely read anything regarding seo anymore -- is why I ask.

Single page websites may or may not be appropriate depending upon the niche that you are in. Some niches have sites with millions of total backlinks to different pages whereas others may not have that much. I therefore do not think single page webpages could be the main reason for ranking delays.
