One main coronavirus thread

I know this thread is technically hypocritical but I know I'm not the only one who sees this and it just clutters up the forum and since most people are talking about either how it is affecting sales like 90% of threads and others are talking about how governments are not being accountable, it is also against the rules of no political discussions allowed. I don't want to be a mini-mod going and reporting all of these but I am seriously getting tired of it.

Yes, we know its happening. We are not blind and it is only going to increase as time goes on. This is a marketing forum, not a coronavirus forum

That's exactly what is happening right now. No matter how much you try, you can't really avoid thinking about corona virus, and it's affecting the market like crazy.

IMHO, it's okay to post those here... Everyone is facing the issues anyway. If info in a thread can do something good, then be it.

Edit: I would rather suggest making a corona virus sub forum under the lounge, instead of merging the threads.

Forums are meant for communication. This is actually my best source of communication with people regarding corona because I'm holed up in a hotel room on my own for weeks. It's a marketing forum, sure, but these posts are being put into the lounge. One big thread will be impossible manage and impossible to delineate any kind of valuable conversation from. At worst this is an annoyance for some people maybe, but multiple threads on corona is not adversely affecting the performance of the forum. If anything these threads seem to get a lot of engagement, and are providing members with much needed ability to voice concerns and sometimes also to find some kind of light-heartedness in amongst a lot of concern and uncertainty. I respect OP's point of view though, this is primarily a marketing forum. Maybe another solution can be found, but I think that one single thread on a global pandemic sweeping throughout the world and crashing financial markets is not a logic expectation.

That makes no sense. In order for it to be a depression, it needs to last a long time, so no, we're not in a depression, and it's highly unlikely that we'll be in one.

Again, recession and depression aren't interchangable terms, I just thought you should know that. I didn't learn anything new from that video, as they just point out the obvious, but good for you if you found it helpful.
