When you have to do accounting, its actually easier if rather than trying to keep updated with things everyday, drag and drop them where they need to be save them, and then process all your ins and outs in one go for a week. This way yous tay focused on the task, and give it your complete attention, instead of making mistakes months ago and wondering what belongs where or something, or why you put that there. As an entrparener, your job is to keep your business legit. But even more it is to find time to dedicate to projects that result in products or services. This is what really pays the bills. Not the accounting. So basically like a lot of things bunch your tasks together and try to spend 80%+ of your business time on projects that can yield something in the future.
I done my accounting as I went along for the past 2 years, but graddially I've tailered off and for the 3rd year, now I know what the process is, I can relax, and get them ready a couple of months before they are due, (I still have months even after that though! lol)
I can see the difference in me messing around previous years trying to learn business accounting what nots, when really I have to be in the zone when it comes to what makes money. Last year I would say is my first year realizing that.
So the insight? Bunch your tasks together and do small projects that you can get to 100% complete as digital assets and uploaded to the net asap. Expand your timeline slowly and take on larger tasks as you work your way through the smaller ones.
The TLDR insight!? Consolidate your knowledge! lol
