Hello, BHW members...

I have started a site in early November 2014. I post daily 5-6 articles around 500-600 words. I ranked very well in Jan 2015 for few keywords. Its a dynamic wordpress website. I post daily even on sunday just like news site.

4 days ago I published a article which is in trend. I made a awesome article with-in few hours i am at top even above Google news. Around 200 continues online at this article from 2 days, but Suddenly my whole website is dropped now ranked to 5-6 page ??? :( There is no reason in my webmaster. (2 days gone no reason )

Usually my website have 40K page views a day but due to that viral article my daily page views was 80K+

Is sudden increase in visitors can make site red mark in eyes of google ??? help

Now daily page views are 5K only :(

I think that one article made my site hell in eyes of google ??? ANEONE faces same situation ?

THIS is second time i am facing this shit. Last time I have low quality content + Good quality content website ranked very good in SERP with-in 3-4 months... but due to sudden increase in traffic on one article make my site dropped to 6 page. (That time i received email in WMT about low quality content penalties )

but this time content is good still :( deranked and no email because i know content is cool. Help guys

It will revert to normal.

Looking at this stuff on a day-to-day basis will do nothing other than drive you crazy...

I think you should check your website and see if someone has not add malicious codes in it.

I have a similar website ranking high, only to noticed after some huge drop in earning and traffic, that it's been used as a web 2, by some hackers.

Do you have security plugins?

have you ever build strong backlinks for your site? If not start to build links, you will have stable ranking

did you check if you're getting too much bad backlinks? disavow them!

I would allow it a good number of days to get an idea on your average daily traffic volume.
