Hello,
I am Stromind, most of the forum users know me very well.
i just wanted to share a story just happened to us so that this should become part of internet archives.
A guy ordered a dedicated server yesterday, and paid the invoice with paypal. we delivered the server in next few hours, not more than 12 hours were passed, our net dev informed me about the server, which was delivered few hours ago.
Client was brute forcing, and port scanning heavily using our server and network. We shutdown the server immediately.
After that client had opened a ticket for re installation of OS.
And we sent him logs of brute forcing and attacking other networks from our servers. immediately after that he opened a cancellation request for the server,
and now he is threatening to sue us in a court of law and to lead a campaign against us on the internet with full of bad reviews,
off-course he will now open a paypal dispute, but we will fight until end.
That has been happened too often in our niche, and clients starts campaign against us, not always the service providers are bad. Whenever you order a web hosting please read terms of services before that.
i am not advocating web hosting providers but behind the picture a lot of things happened too. he will definitely post bad reviews but that will also be a negative promotion haha.
This is the only reason we are very reluctant to accept paypal, and sometimes few bad people try to influence the providers, and other people tends to believe the reviews posted by those scumbags.
