On Pg #1, now need help.

So I am trying out a niche with a 3 word phrase for the main keyword that has:

allinurl:256
google keyword exact:480 local searches (I know is small).

I also have the EMD for the phrase. I added some content to the site and within one day I was indexed after submitting to google, and after a weed of just sitting there, no BL's or any content anywhere else, and I landed on page 1.

The main keyword has around 8,000 global and 4,000 local searches.

I would like to climb to the top for the long tail 3 word phrase first, and start focusing then on the main keyword.

Questions:

Why was it so easy and fast to get pg 1?
How can I climb the page?
How does the numbers look for both the long tail and main keyword as far as searches, etc.

I'd still give it another week. But, if ur impatient the safest way to start would be bookmarking, dnt ping the bookmarks wen ur done jst wait and see wat happens. Keep alog in excel of movements,time of what you have done.

Sounds like a good idea. I didn't think of logging everything but I can see that being very useful. I did make a squidoo lens and adding my link to it. But I will give it time and maybe z couple more legit back links.

You can do some forum posting also at high PR forums to get high PR backlinks.

Write articles . A small local search like that does make it easier to get to first page.

Remember that you only get credit for the first few links from a site, the rest are devalued, participate in many forums a little, don't spend all you tie in a few forums, so you get more links.

Forums that re not open to the public for search do you no good.

Social bookmarking and web2.0's is the way to go

I think I'll write maybe just 1 article, make a hub page, need to google that first , then add a few links to some forums. Already third from the bottom now. Not sure if I need to do too much since it is crawling up the page pretty quickly.

Maybe just build a solid foundation with an article or two, maybe 10 good backlinks and a hub page and squidoo?

When would be a good time to start adding adsense or maybe some affiliate offers? don't want to worry about that till my page is up a little more and I have a solid foundation.

Also, is it even worth it? Since there is such small search for that exact phrase? It does feel good to know I am accomplishing something this time, and have gotten good ranking so far, because this is my third go at IM, and I am finally seeing progress
