Hey just wondering for location service pages does anyone do on-page SEO
Eg Plumber in Battersea, London. We keep coming on the first page on any location we do pretty much straight away but can't get to 1-2nd place driving me mad.

Do the maps of the locations still work? I just thought they just slowed the site down now.
Keywords tried doing 1% 2% 3% etc still the same.
Was thinking about linking to a youtube video and seeing if that helps?
Also tried building multiple tops eg leaking tap battersea, toilet problems DIY in battersea, then creating a SILO back to the main page.

Just stuck at the moment thanks

You must understand the reasoning behind this. When you embed your listing, you are basically sending direct visits to it, and this is essentially how the algorithm work.
There is no SEO or anything like that when we talk about GMB listings. You can adjust a little bit your listing with keywords and all that but it won't be miraclous.
There are also other factors that you must take into account, apart from CTR and visits. For example how reputed is your entity, in case you have been able to populate a good entity with both your page, your listing and obviously your NAP overall.
Keep reading on this subforum for more useful insights. You are barely scratching the surface with your questions.

I'm talking more about on page seo not GMB listing.
Where you have multiple locations on a website long tailed keywords
