Hi all - is it OK to have paragraph text displayed above H1 (as long as the heading tiers are structured correctly) or is this an on-page no-no? Thanks for your help.

I've never heard of it being an issue (from a ranking perspective I mean), but it definitely looks weird since page titles are usually considered H1. You should either turn the H1 into H2, or not add content above H1 because - again - it looks weird, not because it's wrong. Although... if you decrease the font size of H1s then that will fix the looks :)

It's generally recommended to follow a hierarchical structure for headings on a webpage. The H1 Should ideally come before any paragraph text that provides context or further explanation. It helps search engines understand the content hierarchy and improves accessibility for users.
While there might be situations where you need to display paragraph text before the H1 for design or other reasons.
It is generally not considered best practice for on-page SEO.

But I really don't understand what kind of situation makes you to put the paragraph text before the H1.

Have you seen any like that ever?

Heading Before paragraph text, Is that not necessary. What Type of content are you going to put there? Can you please explain more to help you?

I don't think this is a problem. But from the user's point of view, they will be confused. And what is the need for it? For your better understanding, try this as an experiment and see the result.

It would be better if you avoid putting paragraph before H1 as it looks weird and clumsy.

Thanks all - really appreciate your feedback.
