I just bought a domain using my Paypal and it cost me $5.83 and when I take a look at my paypal I saw this message "You don't need a balance to shop or send payments." What is that ? I'm kinda scared! I don't have money in real life. I'm still a student. Do I have debt on paypal? I only linked my credit card which is empty and has no money in it. I know that I have $5.+ on my paypal! I don't remember the exact amount but did it just took my exact money?

Update: OMG this old website just took $11 on my paypal? I srsly don't have money.

That message means "you have zero funds but you can still buy if you use a card". That's what it means.

Well they think they can charge it so if you go ovre your limit you'll be negative and Paypal will come after you, black vans, men in black suit, ehnanced interrogation, and then you post a thread "OMG I got fucked by Paypal" and we post memes and make fun for shits and giggles. You know the game....

Now your balance shows zero, but before you made the purchase, you must have had sufficient funds on your balance, which was deducted with the domain purchase. Maybe it's a coincidence and you had the exact same amount.

Check the details of that domain payment and see what was charged. It will be your PayPal balance more than likely.

You can't buy anything with a zero PayPal balance, if your attached CC has zero balance too. You can't go into negative like this, only if you pulled some shit, you emptied your PayPal and you need to make a refund, that's when your balance can go below zero, but this is not the case here. Chill.

paypal will give an error saying you don't have enough balance (if you don't) so basically, it charged money from your card, and your card has enough BALANCE on it.

I was trying to purchase anythingeven though I don't have money maybe something miracle happen. But this miracle is freaking me out.

With out paypal balance you can buy good and services using the card but some countries are not allowed to use their balance to purchase using their balance.
