Omg, MLM makes people turn into WEIRDOS

So youve made a lot of money then I assume and are also an expert in MLM..?

I've been somewhat involved in MLM, and realize its a complete waste of time to work for another person's MLM. Why would I go out and contact people about products and joining a team, when I could make my own company and get white label products and keep a higher % of profits.

I'm pretty sure MLM companies are sweeping high schools on the Eastern seaboard in the US...

There's this one energy drink company or something like that called "Vemma" that's been in a good amount of schools in NJ/NY. It's been a few years since I've been in high school, but from what I remember, it got around to a good portion of NJ and started going towards upper NY I think. Probably spread and taken over everything by now...

There's a company like that called vector marketing but its not MLM, they get students to become knife salesmen and you have to pay around $150 for the starter kit to join and they make claims of earning up to $17 an hour.

I once joined an mlm(market america) and let me tell you, it was like a cult. I remember going to "training" which were just to pitch new products in the mlm company. After each training, we would form small groups and talk about how market america changed our lives even if it hadn't (warrior forum?). If you did not buy their products you were shamed and criticized. What an experience, met some cool people though!

The people that did well were very social people or were in a very social positions. The mlm main products are supplements, so people who run herbal supplement stores, teach herbal medicinal courses, run some kind of clinics, they did well because they already had an audience. If they only knew that they could create the supplement for a fraction of the price and still be very profitable.

They could probably make much more

Well then thats all I need to know! You havent seen, associated, or know enough about legitimate NM companies or the ethical practices that should be used in order to make it profitable. Same goes for anyone here. You can use one company for an example or one or two run-ins with wackjobs that tried sell you on some magic juice that makes you live forever, but you have not learned from real mentors who know what they are doing with a legitimate profitable leadership driven company. I have only found one company that offers that level of leadership with proper training im not going to pitch you on it because im not even sponsoring people right now. I just want people to expand their minds a little and stop listening to things they heard from a guy they met that heard it from some other gal who had a brother.

How the hell do they convince anyone to become a salesperson?
Is it just me, or is $17/hr really low?

I know vemma very well. This is where you start looking into compensation plans to see if a company is as profitable as it can be. Vemma has great products sure, but you can tell they are focused on making money for the company owner rather than their IBOs. They have whats called a binary comp plan. You can only get paid for 2 legs and only on your weakest leg. Any extra money made through your strongest leg goes back to the company. They try to make it sound like a good thing so it will appeal to the lazy people thinking their upline will do all the work for them. But then you get everyone thinking someone else will do all the work for you.. its real hard to get shit done. They also do not have a leadership training program. So everyone does their own thing and has to sell itself through hype. Hype might make money upfront but wont last long term and is not sustainable.

Why are you even promoting people to think of join an existing MLM instead of creating their own? I don't see the benefits of making 10% commission on sales when I could be making 80 to 85% commission on sales.

Its Marketed towards Highschool Students that could only make $7.50 an hour because of minimum wage jobs.

They are like members of some kind of religious cult. I was on a "presentation" like that few years ago and I have managed to escape in the middle of the presentation. I've found out later that only me and two other persons were prospective clients and about 30 of them were acting to be prospective members. That's crazy. They've staged a show in order to attract only three individuals in their web of lies.

MLM people are the most weak-minded individuals you will ever meet.

They believe the hype, and fall for it...then try to convince everyone else that it is "real" -- I have been pitched about 5 different MLM opportunities from the same person. Every time it is the same thing - "my company makes people into millionaires" - every time I tell him to come back to me when he makes money....never has...only comes back with a new scheme lol

These people are weak. If they had intelligence they would start their own business. Not fall for the hype. Look at all the big-time MLM companies. Think ViSalus for a min. They make crazy money. Sure, there might be a few top earners...but 99% don't make shit. The owners are hype men. They sell the dream well. The lemmings eat it up.

MLM = fucking joke.

There is so much more to it then that. If youre looking at it as a sales gig, then you are absolutely correct. MLM isnt sales. When I ran my business the most sales I would do is when someone would ask me about a product I was using, id tell them about it and say I happen to sell it as well if they ever wanted any. I had no sales pitch. I didnt talk about my products online. There was no hype. Id let them try it themselves, if they liked it theyd buy, if not, no sweat off my brow, like I said I dont make a lot of money off it anyways. So youre correct, theres not much money in selling MLM products. If you try to make money that way and that way only, you will be investing a lot of money for not much return.

If you know how to do it and do it right, there is no better lifestyle. You get to use great products for free (which MLM products do tend to be extremely high quality), teach people how to make money, then keep making that money residual for work you did once and have it keep increasing by itself without increasing your effort. You gain outstanding friends, meet many new people, have people with a financially vested interest in you so you can guarantee they will only give you the best advice and they will literally walk you through everything step by step, and travel.

Id like to see a white label that offers that.

And to netmoney, im sorry but all he has seen are the little zombie robots that dont know how to actually run one of these things. He has never had a professional business oriented sponsor approach him without overhype and show him how to do it right and link up with the right team. I have personally seen my own friend go from nothing to making $60k annually within 16 months of starting the business. Its not a get rich quick scheme. You dont make money fast. It IS hard work. There ARE ups and downs. But when you do start making money through your efforts, you REALLY start making money for your efforts. And he is not the only one ive seen succeed in the 2 years ive been studying and learning.

You can setup your own MLM company using both white label and private label products and MLM software.

My buddy once took me to a Kirby vacuum cleaner salesmen meeting. It all looked weird from the start but when they started to sing
Hail hail the gang's all here
Gonna sell the Kirby
Yes we sell the Kirby

Hail hail the gang's all here
Gonna sell the Kirby now

Hey!

Kirby equals sunshine
Kirby equals sun

Hey!

Kirby equals sunshine won't that be fun

Hey!

Kirby equals sunshine
Kirby equals sun

Don't look down, don't you frown
Kirby equals sun

Hey hey hey hey hey heyyyyy!

I got that Kirby Kirby spirit up in my head
Up in my, up in my head

I got that Kirby Kirby spirit up in my head
Up in my head to stay

I got that Kirby Kirby spirit down in my feet
Down in my feet, down in my feet

I got that Kirby Kirby spirit down in my feet
Down in my feet to stay

I got that Kirby Kirby spirit deep in my heart
Deep in my heart, deep in my heart

I got that Kirby Kirby spirit deep in my heart
Deep in my heart to stay

I got that Kirby Kirby spirit all over me
All over me, all over me

I got that Kirby Kirby spirit all over me
All over me to stay

I got that Kirby Kirby spirit up in my head
Down in my feet, deep in my heart

I got that Kirby Kirby spirit all over me
all over me to stay!

CUZ WE ARE?
POSITIVE!
WHAT DO WE NEED?
SALES!
WHEN?
NOW!
WHY?
MONEY!

I got scared that they'll commit a mass suicide and I ran away.

I've actually heard of that one too, I was pretty close to trying to get an internship from that company until I did some DD and realized they were pretty shitty.

The one that I'm talking about, "Vemma" though, tell students that they'll earn BMWs and they get random "sponsors" that confirm they actually earn 6 figures a year and got those BMWs and whatever.

I was waiting for a couple of stanzas that read:
"I got that Kirby Kirby spirit inside of me
Inside of me, inside of me

I got that Kirby Kirby spirit inside of me
Inside of me to stay
"

It sounded like it was going there, if you catch me drift.

I bet they're something like this during their self-loving events.

I know that feeling LOL
my own father is trying to recruit me and get me in (brainwashed with it fully)
no mater what i say or proove to him he he is blind for facts, proofs or anything else besides "company he is in, which will make him millionaire"
I told him like 30 times till now that same thing that you said "come back to me when you make some money" and yet he didn't earned a single penny within 2 years that he is into that thing...

but just trying to recruit me and repeating me over and over that what i do is not marketing and marketing is what he does, and yet with my "non marketing" i earn like 3x more than he makes on the RL job per month
Last time we spoke i had a big fight with him over the phone about that, i think he wont call me for next few months LOL

Sure you can. But 1. Where are you going to get the money for all the legal costs, liability insurance etc. 2. Youll have to develop an amazing product thats better than anything on the market, pour more money into it and hope it succeeds 3. Do you really think you can compete with companies that are partnering with Apple, Best Buy, Dicks sporting goods, Target, and hundreds of others? 4. Whos giving you step by step training that has already done it and been successful? 5. Youre creating something that has not been created before and so you dont know for sure if it will work or not which = risk. 6. If youre not 100% legal and labeled a pyramid scheme, well hope you like prison.

I could come up with many more points if you want me to keep going.
