Olympics has affected my sales, big time!

Since the Olympics started a week ago, my sales have dropped by 2/3. Im only make 1 sales every few days. Prior to this it was more than 3 and 4 per day. I have verified this with another person in pushing the same niche. Anyone else?

A bad sales week can happen for no reason(just bad luck) when your doing just 3-4 sales a day. But I think the olympics have had an effect. I am getting less traffic also, but lucky I have greatly increased my conversion rates, so I am still making the same number of sales as before. People should be like me and watch TV while using their laptop!
 
Me too, Mikie. Depends on the niche but here in Europe most stuff shuts down for August, with the added distraction for the Olympics, holidays, back to school, its just a matter of waiting. I am sure (bl**dy hope so) everything will be back to normal next month.
Even the newspapers call it the silly season.

one is down for me... but one is up.... idk. Its gonna shoot up int he coming months. This is going to be my first blackhat christmas. Im fucking pumped
 
down in some niches - up in those that are sports related - so call it even for the week. The only smart things I did was actually plan for it a couple of months away and try and dominate some olympics / sports serp results
 
Ye like weight loss. Women getting married trying to look at being more beautiful for the end of the year holidays.
 
This is bad month I only made 1 sale in august! I agree with you guys since august my sales drop, only got clicks but no sales in my campaign.
 
My sales have dropped somewhat also. I didn't think about the fact that people are preoccupied by the Olympics. The truth is a drop is a drop. Now that I have a few ideas about the origin of the problem, it's time to find some solutions.
 
Yeah same here. Most people watch TV then surfing the net.
 
No significant drop in sales on my BANS sites. Maybe it's just the niche that you're in.
 
How about putting a twist on the "Horny Email" Submit option.... go with people looking for info on the olympics instead though...
 
Wanted to capitalize on the olympics, but then my targeted ads ended up getting rejected by Ad*words because the term "Olympics" is trademarked.. go figure!
 
Depends on the niches(s). Most of my website traffic had a huge decrease in traffic and sales.
