I agree that health insurance companies are heartless bastards, my son needed an operation at 8 months old and they wouldn't cover it because they declared it a pre existing condition... And they told us 10 hours before he was booked for surgery
Anywho, I'll be emptying my paypal account for Olden and hope he recovers quickly.
It doesn't matter whether you have friends who are nearby or on the net, as long as the love and friendship is there you haven't wasted a minute.

Somebody already suggested that, but HaRRo's answer was that he would if he could, but the money goes straight to Dave, so he has to decide.
I don't have a lot of money. What I can do is to set up free autoblogs for this cause. Like 1000. Let someone experienced turn that into money or something. I mean is this good enough?
We have expertise. Our production cost is low. Each of us can "donate" by doing something we can do easily.
Again I can also create a few thousands youtube accounts if someone good can replace the production cost. That sort of thing. For 1000 forget production cost. I'll just donate.
DAMN insurance. I NEVER have insurance. I sort of knew that once you're in deep shit they just come up with some bullshit to knock you down. Our safest bet is always make as much money as possible and count on family members.

It doesn't matter what you give, the choice is yours and what ever you do give will be greatly appreciated I am sure and the best way to think about it, there are 926 users online now if they were to give $1 that is $926, every bit helps towards his funds and he will be so happy to see all his BHW friends banding together to help him.

Olden need 5-6 figure money to get operation. If he really want to I can introduce him to Indonesian doctors that are BETTER and cheaper than American.
It is cheaper to fly to Indonesia, get your teeth fix, then fly back to US than getting your teeth fixed in US. And yes Indonesian doctor is as good if not better than American doctor.
If you want to I'll connect ANYTHING. Ask price, etc.

I donated, too. My insurance policy ended January 1st, and now I have some health problems of my own, so I have some idea of what he's going through. I also know what he means about only connecting with people online - it'd be good to have some local meetups.

He'd need to pre-pay for offshore care, though. In the USA if it is an emergency then they will treat him first and then bill him. But if the fee is attainable then (IMHO) BHW should have some kind of a fundraiser.
