Sorry for the newbie question and if it has already been asked.
I have access to a 'invitatiion only' forum in a particular niche that I would like to market.
Each year the forum has around 3000 new active members and a new forum is opened each year.
Its been open since 2009- so theres about 1500 threads from the 2009 forum and then the 2010 forum. These old threads are no longer commented on- but each user in the thread will still be suscribed to it.
If I went in and commented on old thread with my url in the signature- would this in anyway be considered a link and would it add to my websites rating or not?
Any advice appreciated. I hope this made sense.
