Old Favicon Loads Sometimes On My Site

Its been few months since I have updated my favicon of my wordpress website hosted on Digitalocean.

Once in a while when I open my site dashboard or a post old favicon loads in the browser and then it gets updated to new one after complete loading.

I want to fix this problem from root as it might be cause some other issues. But I do not know what do I search.
Can there be a problem with my website's cache mechanism? I have also purged cache from Cloudflare but this issue is still occurring.

Use wprocket or anything similar to purge cache. Have you done that?

I had this issue on a WordPress years ago. If I recall correctly, find out where you can upload a plugin on your dashboard and see if there's more than one location. For instance, in my case, you could upload a favicon through the theme settings and through a plugin. I changed it through the theme settings, but because the plugin was overriding the theme settings, it still displayed the old favicon. Getting rid of the plugin was the solution for me, although if I wanted to keep it, I could've just changed it on the plugin as well.

Additionally try purging the cache on your web host and, if you're using it, your CDN.
