Old eBay account benefits

Hi guys,

I have an eBay account from 2009, now I just started selling on it 3 months ago.
I was reading somewhere (can't remember where), that if your account is from a certain year you have all kind of benefits, like ebay can't really track you down and all kind of that stuff.
Anyway, I would like to hear please what do you have to say about this account.
Right now my selling limits are 3,400 $ / 50 items. I guess within 2 days it will grow (that's what happened to me last month, it grew alone)

While many aged accounts certainly hold benefits over newer ones, it isn't really much more.

You are trusted to list more VeRO intensive items as opposed to a new account which can only list a few. But in terms of banning, eBay is generally "equal" across the board.

Sellers from 2004 with 5k+ feedbacks have been banned because of negative feedbacks. Aged accounts can basically sell more risky items.

There is no "magic year" from which your eBay account is best from. However, from what I've researched pre 2008 eBay accounts are most sought after since eBay grandfathered them in after their company revision in 2008.

But these are just rumors. No one really understands how eBay works in terms of trust unless they work there. That's my 2 cents.

2007 accounts -- you can use merchant accounts directly with them.

but IMO the most important thing is not how old your acc is but how long you have been selling. but i also agree with roger.turner19 above.
