We recently lost a domain of ours which was not our intention. It seems like a competitor has taken the domain, replicated the look of our website and majority of the content. We have launched a new domain and have already changed a lot of external resources (ex: google business, facebook, yelp, .....) to point to the new domain.

We are still seeing large delays in getting content indexed by Google. The old domain is still showing up for our branded name is position 1 and Google seems to be backtracking on pages it indexes. It had indexed 7 pages a while back and now it is down to 4. There are 28 pages overall.

Any suggestions on what we can do to either increase our rankings faster or anyway we can get the old domain pushed down and removed from Google?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Old domain will always have advantage over new one if it was performing well.

Looks like they are making it alive again.

Push a lot of content in a short time period and build links to homepage to boost authority (this at slower rate and naturally amp it up).
